Fish"less" Fritters

One of the many appetizers that I enjoyed as a child was cod fish fritters with whole wheat bread and butter. My Mometa always prepare cod fish fritters with her secret seasonings, and served it as an appetizer or as a snack after meals. Since I transitioned to a vegan life style, I have tried to create appetizers that would substitute for this delicious delight that I previously enjoyed, but was not successful at this task until today. My recently created fish"less" fritters recipe is the answer to my cod fish fritters replacement.

Fish"less" Fritters

1 1/2 Cup of  Water
1/2 Cup TVP (Non-GMO)
1 Cup Spelt Flour
1/8 Chilli Powder
1/2 Tsp. Braggs Aminos
1 Tsp. Kelp
1/2 Tsp. Sea Salt
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1/3 Cup of Chopped Onions
1/2 Chopped Green, Red & Yellow Peppers

Soak TVP in 1/2 cup of water for approximatley 10 minitues until soft. Drain  water from  TVP, and then mix all ingridients together  with the remaining cup of water until the batter is smooth.
Pour olive oil in the frying pan and allow it to heat on a medium flame, and then add a tablespoon of batter into the frying pan. Allow batter to fry until brown on both sides. Fish"less" fritters can be enjoyed with bread, salad or steam vegetables.
